There is away to use samples as sort of mini sequencers - for "Notes" and "CC's"
Check the Instument EFX tab. Signal followers were used.
Create a new sample-slot,then create sample of 16 sample-points(length). Then set Beatsync to 16. Then use the [Draw] tool to draw some content in the sample.
Now you have a 16 step sequencer - sort off…
Use *Signal-Follower Meta Tool to asign the sample values to any efx parameters you want - direct - or through *Hydra.
Experiment with Loop options - Forward/Backward/Ping-Pong
Change Beatsync to 2x or 3x or 0.5x 0.33x etc. etc.

Samples should be set to
Interpolation = None
Antialiasing = None
Fade = None
I used the lowest samplerate and lowest bit depth.
