The 6/9 chord is very useful as a sort of colourful alternative to a normal major chord (similar to M7). See the descriptions for the major and minor chord parts of this XRNI series for info about what this is, if you're here, you probably already know. Everyone from B B King to DeadMau5 has used the 6/9 chord to nice effect.
